Today Overload brought out some ramps and did a demo in front of one of our favorite mall skate stores! Be on the lookout for Overload taking the show on the road and setting up in mall parking lots across San Diego every weekend! Kids were pumped on getting a ton of free Overload swag and skatepark passes!

What started out as a small idea for doing a BBQ on Saturday turned out to be a 2 day event with hundreds of skaters chilling from 8 in the morning until 9 at night 2 days in a row.

 With the help of Tommy Sandoval and our friends at Zero we picked up a bunch of obstacles from the Zero Warehouse on Friday. We set up the ramps on Saturday morning in Overload’s parking lot and the fun started.

 There was so many people entered in the game of skate it lasted 2 days. The winner got to play Tommy in a game of skate. To say the least, Maurice beat Tommy and is now on Overload.

The best trick contest was won by our very own Tony Powell and the 12 and under game of skate was won by Julian.

 Thanks to everyone that came out and since the event was so rad we are going to be setting up different ramps and obstacles on the weekends just for the Overload locals to skate.

Huge thanks to Zero and Fallen for hooking up the prizes for the weekend. Super big props to Tommy for skating hard, judging, BBQing and being there all weekend. Shout out to Edwin for being there all weekend taking pictures for all the Overload skaters to check out online!

Yesterday’s Game of Skate ended up being the KING OF CHULA VISTA CONTEST! Every skateboarder from Chula Vista was there and ready to bust out their tricks. Kids were doing Nollie Flips and Fakie Treys on their first try during their match. Looks like its time stretching out before a game of skate does matter. Due to the fact that over 50 kids signed up for the game of skate, we had to send the kids home and continue it today at 12 Noon. If you won a match yesterday, be sure to show up at Overload in Chula Vista.
